Over a year ago I chopped off my long, beautiful hair and was left with a weird choppy haircut. I will not deny that I’m a little obsessed with my hair. It’s thick and very healthy and has always been that way, feel free to hate me. I have regretted the decision to cut it ever since but now my hair is just long enough for me to begin to braid it again. I used to french braid and side braid my hair all the time but this one is new to me.
Yesterday I attempted a dutch braid, which is basically a french braid that’s on the outside. To do a french braid you take each section of hair and pull it over the others, resulting in a flat braid that is tight against your head. A dutch braid is the same process only you take each section and pull it under the others, resulting in a braid that sticks out and looks like a rope. This is my first attempt at a dutch braid, I’m sure I will do many more in the future.
For a first time I think it looks pretty great!
